Modern Man™ Series

Launched in 2007, The Modern Man Series was the first of its kind in the optical industry. With the emergence of the 21st century male consumer as a major force in the modern retail environment, eyewear manufacturers have developed new collections of men's eyewear and established new positioning of brand names, creating new opportunities in men's eyewear sales. The Modern Man Series capitalized on this trend by featuring a variety of vehicles that delivered the modern man eyewear message. The series featured editorial coverage in select issues of 20/20 and Vision Monday, a special panel event with men's retail industry experts at the optical industry's largest tradeshow Vision Expo East, and culminated with a special supplement dedicated exclusively to men's eyewear.

A continuing education course was also included as a part of the package, offered in the supplement and online at 2020mag.com. The series drew sponsorships from some of the top names in men's eyewear including Avalon Eyewear, Colors in Optics, Eyewear Designs, Kenmark Group, Luxottica Group, Marchon Eyewear, Rem Eyewear, Tura and Viva International Group. All sponsors received the benefits of this special package including editorial coverage, ad pages and consistent name listing on all marketing communications that have been sent out to promote the series.
